England, a place of hills, farmland, extensive floodplains and extensive forests it is home to many forms of life from the deepest depths of the English Channel and the North Sea to the soaring heights of Scafell pike life thrives in reserves such as the lake district and out in the wide alike. In these pages we hope to provide you with the information to understand and aid or appreciate the species of England.
The information you may find in this section of the site will involve my favourite examples of the wildlife and plant life that are common, rare or iconic, safe or endangered, native, introduced and invasive. I will attempt to outline the features of these creatures and plants that are the most notable and i will attempt to explain why they are among my “favourites” while hopefully bringing attention to any threatened species that may need our help.
